“Inspired by the current leap year and the surreal concept of an extra day, this photo engages the peculiar nature of time. A withering house with closed doors and sealed windows, sees plants blooming from beneath it, while the constantly moving clouds are reflected all around. The spell of an additional day asks us what might be possible? Where would we leap from and where to? Which direction might a house of memories and an endless sky point us, as we spring from one fleeting moment to the next? One phantom day that won’t return the following year.”
